SHELF & DOOR

 

With two sets of doors and two shelves, Shelf & Door is a bespoke  traditional upright cabinet inspired by the 16th century trompe l'oeil painting 'Cabinet of Curiosity' by Domenico Remps. The original painting, which is in the collection of the Museo dell'Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, can be seen here.

The cabinet pictured here was handmade in waxed elm sourced from a Scottish estate, with white painted interior and ornate black ironmongery.

What is included:

• Size 680mm x 600mm x 250mm

(10% adjustment allowed)

• Choice of traditional local/British woods including evenly grained and strongly patterned options, or  a modern painted manmade board or wood

• Traditional waxed or oiled finish, modern varnish or lacquer finish

• Choice of traditional black or brass, or modern brushed, polished or chrome  ironmongery

Each cabinet is individually numbered and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
